Ingredients:
1/4 tsp of Ascorbic Acid powder,
1 tsp. pure Vegetable Glycerin,
1tsp Distilled Water (For a soothing, scented serum, substitute Rose Water for the distilled water).
You can tweek this recipe a bit; If your skin is particularly sensitive reduce the amount of vitamin C to 1/8 tsp. If your skin is particularly sensitive why not try Sodium Ascorbate. For a longer lasting formulation, try Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate and for drier skin increase the glycerin.
Directions
Dissolve the vitamin C in the water continuously until the powder is dissolved. Stir in the glycerin. Pour the mixture into a small, coloured bottle – this will prevent the vitamin c from oxidizing. If the powder isn’t completely dissolved simple shake the bottle vigorously until it dissolves.
Apply on your face. A little tingling sensation is fine with vitamin c but too much tingling means that your skin needs less vitamin c. Just dilute with a little water.
Note: It is important to follow with a sun screen since vitamin c leaves your skin sensitive to light. You can also store your vitamin c in the refrigerator to for more protection against oxidation.
